Who is Jean-David Amato, Antique Dealer in Nice?
A native of Nice, Jean-David Amato grew up in the port and old town neighborhoods. He has always been fascinated by history and is a naturally curious man.
After training as a cabinetmaker, he turned to the profession of antique dealer on the advice of his art-loving and collecting father. This profession combines everything Jean-David Amato loves: history, decoration and design.
In 2003, he began his career as an antique dealer in Nice. He first started by buying furniture and reselling it to Italian merchants. Then, he worked in an auction house for over a year and a half, which allowed him to broaden his vision of the profession.
In 2007, Jean-David Amato bought his first shop at the Puces de Nice flea market, and then a second one. This Nice antique dealer has been practicing his passionate profession for 20 years, and also sells his wares on Mondays on the Cours Saleya, on the Place Pierre Gautier.
